How to get your items valued for auction

Images can be sent to us by email to info@tsauction.co.uk, we will respond as soon as possible and provide an auction estimate.

Alternatively you can make an appointment to bring your item(s) to our central Reading saleroom for one of our valuers to look at.

If your property is too large to bring in to our saleroom, and you cannot send us a photo, we are happy to make an appointment for one of our valuers to visit your home.

Delivering Items

Items that we have agreed to sell can be delivered to our saleroom Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. We will store the items until the next available sale. If you are unable to deliver to us, we can arrange for collection of your items. 

Entering lots into auction

Whether you deliver your items, or we collect, we will always provide a receipt, which forms your contract with us. 

Reserves

We only accept reserves on items valued at £50 or more.

Fixed reserve - the auctioneer will agree a reserve price to ensure the item will not be sold for less.

Auctioneer's Discretion - You are giving your permission for the auctioneer to use his discretion, and for your goods to be sold at up to 10% less than the reserve price.

No reserve - The lot(s) will be sold for the highest price received on the day.

Auction costs

Seller's Commission is 15% + VAT of the hammer price

Entry Fee of £5 + VAT applicable to each lot

What Happens Next?

We catalogue and photograph your lots ready for auction. You will receive a statement by email, itemising your lots and the estimates we have given them.

Once the auction has taken place, we will send a second statement detailing how much your items sold for.
Any unsold items may be re-entered into our next sale, normally at a reduced estimate. The auctioneer may also ask that some unsold items are picked up.

Payment, minus our commission, will be made by bank transfer two weeks after the sale.
